What to do?  I have virtually been setting at the same weight for about a month.  Although, I don't have working scales at the moment, I do weigh myself when I go to work out.  The only problem with this is that I am fully clothed AND it is in the evening.  So I figure that my clothing and shoes weigh about 5 pounds and add about 2 to 3 pounds for evening weigh in and this puts me at a total weight loss of 38 pounds to date.  I really need to get a set of scales!!!  It is driving me CRAZY!  Argh!

My Weekend...

So far this weekend I have made a conscious decision to eat some major calories.  I have been at this dieting thing now for almost exactly 3 months and the last month has been a real challenge.  It seems no matter what I do, I don't see the scales move.  So, I decided to mix it up a bit and give my body a break. 

I am back with the program full force today and ready to move that scale!  I believe that weight training will get me back in the weight loss groove but that will not start in earnest until probably next week.  In the meantime, I am going to keep on walking and doing some interval jogging.

My BodyMedia numbers are not so good so I won't even mention them.  I have gotten in at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise everyday though with about 5k steps.  I LOVE my BodyMedia armband

Yesterday's numbers were okay. Burned 2,600, consumed 1,485. Only 15 minutes of moderate exercise -- 30 short of goal. 6,922 steps -- 1,078 short of goal. I slept 6 hours and 22 minutes, but that was only 87% of the time I was lying down.

So far, I've lost 4.6 pounds. Not bad!

I find that I'm making better food choices than if I wasn't logging my food. Still, it seems like i do the dumbest things "just because I want to." Do I really want to eat the chicken skin? Yes, I want to eat it. I love it! It's crispy, greasy, and has the best "mouth feel!" I want to eat it, I want to enjoy it, but I DON'T WANT THE RESULTS IT BRINGS!

What do I really want????? Things like chicken skin, tight jeans, public embarrassment, personal disgust, shortened life span are all wrapped together for me. No chicken skin is wrapped up with personal pride, comfortable clothes, and more time on earth doing the things I love!

Like everything, it boils down to choices -- daily choices, daily battles ...

Today I start my day vowing to make heathly choices!

Alrighty! I'm sick today! Boo! Hiss! I am still sticking with things, though.

My guess is that I won't make my steps goal, because when I walked across the street to the CVS, I got out-of-breath and started coughing really badly (AGAIN!). I'm all clogged up, have a sore throat, am losing my voice, and feel yucky. At least I'm not hungry. I'm going to go to bed and let Michael and the kids fend for themselves at Arby's.

I would like to issue a challenge! Tracy, I challenge you to log 11,000 steps on Monday, the 1st! Are you up for it???
